The French defender is “completely ready to go,” says the coach.

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane said that Varane has “completely recovered” from the small injury which kept him out of Madrid’s last two La Liga games against Valencia and Levante.

The French defender will therefore be available against APOEL and unless something happens in that game, he should also be capable of facing Real Sociedad next Sunday.

On the other hand, he also explained that Asensio was struggling with a pimple on his foot. Asensio missed the team’s training session last Monday but rejoined the squad this Tuesday. However, Zidane might decide to be cautious and keep him out of the squad list so that he can have fresh legs when Madrid visit Anoeta next weekend.

Cristiano Ronaldo will be back with the team after missing the last few La Liga games with a suspension. Zidane said that the Portuguese star will be in Real’s starting lineup against APOEL this Wednesday.
