Real Madrid complete the signing of Brazilian wonder kid

His name is Rodrigo and is just 17 years old.

Rodrigo

Real Madrid have completed the signing of Brazilian wonder kid Rodrigo, according to MARCA. He’s still 17 years old and plays as an attacking midfielder for Gremio Novorizontino. No fees have been disclosed.

Rodrigo clearly fits Real’s newest transfer policy. Los Blancos already signed the promising Vinicius Junior this summer and are trying to secure the talents of young prospects all over the world ever since they signed Odegaard.

Apparently, Rodrigo will play for Castilla next season, or that’s the plan. He might follow a similar path to the one that took Casemiro to Real Madrid’s first team years ago.

It will be interesting to see what kind of ceiling this player has but right now it seems that this is a low risk-high reward kind of deal for Los Blancos if Rodrigo can become a useful player in the short term.

Stay tuned for more news on the player.
