RL9 may be a great short term striking solution.

Robert Lewandowski is pushing for a move to Real Madrid in the near future according to Guillem Balagué. This transfer rumor has gotten some press in the past with nothing solid coming to fruition. But the latest developments in Lewandowski’s relationship with Bayern Munich haven’t been great.

Public comments from both Lewandowski and Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge have put a strain on their relationship and certainly created some uncomfortable feelings within the Bavarian giants about the situation.

Although still in the core of his prime, Lewandowski just turned 29, and certainly isn’t a spring chicken. He isn’t a long term 5-10 year striking solution for Real Madrid. But could be a fantastic fit for the next couple of years while Real Madrid sort out their future plans with their attacking solutions.

Since the transfer window just closed, we can expect this story not to develop exponentially for a bit. But if Lewandowski truly considers Real Madrid the “team of his dreams” then this could grow legs in the comings months.
