Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has officially signed a new deal with Real Madrid, the club confirmed on their official website. He will stay with the club until the summer of 2022.
Carvajal is the third player who signed an extension for Real Madrid this summer, right after Marcelo and Isco. He has earned and cemented his spot as a starter for Madrid and his new salary and release clause will reflect just that.
Carvajal will sign his new deal this Monday and he will speak to the press immediately after. It will be interesting to see what he has to say about the club.
The Spanish defender made his return to Real Madrid after one year with Leverkusen, but he was one of the club's most intriguing prospects out of the academy. Right now he doesn't have a clear replacement in the current squad after the departure of Danilo to Manchester City, who wanted a more prominent role in Madrid after being benched behind Carvajal.
