Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane confirmed that a new contract is already in place with Real Madrid.

"New contract already done. That does not mean anything, I just go day to day as this a difficult job, you must perform, that’s it."

There have been rumours that a new deal was close to being completed, but nothing concrete had come out of either camp as of yet. In August, Joaquín Maroto reported that Zidane and Real had agreed to a three year extension that would keep him at Real until 2020. The deal would also have almost doubled his salary, which given his success at the club, is no surprise.

This is fantastic news for Real Madrid and its supporters. Keeping Zidane happy in Madrid is key. His ability to pull the right roster moves thus far has been second to none, and giving youngsters a chance in the first team has set himself and the club up for success for years to come.

Now we await the photo of ink to paper.
