Atlético de Madrid have invested quite a bit of money when it comes to their new stadium, the Wanda Metropolitano. This new stadium is quite an upgrade to the Vincente Calderón, but, this being a Real Madrid fansite, we can't help but to poke a little fun here and there at our neighbours.

Whether it be an aerial look at how their stadium and surrounding streets seem to spell out LOL, to the absolute fail of raising the flag upside down, Madridistas never fail to spot mistakes by the Colchoneros.

However, this new stadium has helped Atlético de Madrid become the newest host for the UEFA Champions League Final of 2019. Yes, Atlético de Madrid had huge, oh such crazy competition to land this right. They fought tooth and nail against the only other potential host, the Baku National Stadium in Azerbaijan. They won. I know, shocking!

Now, Atlético actually has had a pretty good record when it comes to the UCL in recent years, advancing to the Final in both 2014 & 2016, only for Real Madrid to end their dreams in the most cruel circumstances.

Atléti fans will want to make the most of having the home field advantage in 2019 if they manage to make it that far. I only have one question: How sweet will it be to defeat them in front of their own fans for the third time in a final? I must say, this is an opportunity that cannot be missed! Atléti, you best make it to the final in 2019!
