Zinedine Zidane delivered a calm post-game talk to the players after the disastrous 0-1 loss against Betis. The French coach told them that there’s a long way to go and that they need to remain calm thinking about their next match —Saturday at Alaves—.
The fans are anxious but Zidane knows that this will not help his players. He told them that the team played well enough to earn the three points but the ultimate lack of accuracy in front of goal ended up hurting Madrid.
However, Zidane also said that the players need to play with more intensity at home, especially during the first third of the game.
Madrid need to beat Alaves and then they will visit Dortmund before hosting Espanyol at the Bernabeu. The players want to use these three games to bounce back, gain some momentum and never look back. It will be interesting to see if they react or not.
