More bad news for Zinedine Zidane. Toni Kroos did not train with his teammates this Friday and therefore he won’t be available when Real Madrid visit Alaves —Saturday, 16:15—.
The midfielder had to miss Real’s trip to face Real Sociedad last Sunday as well, meaning that coach Zidane probably rushed him a little bit so that he could play against Betis.
Benzema, Theo, Vallejo, Marcelo and Kovacic are also injured and will not help their teammates against Alaves.
All things considered, Real Madrid’s roster is terribly thin right now, as only 18 players are available. Nacho is expected to start on the left side of Real’s defensive line while either Ceballos or Llorente might be needed in the midfield as well.
Alaves have not scored a single goal this season and Real should dismantle them, although they will also visit Dortmund next Tuesday in what could be a crucial match in this Champions League Group Stage.
