Real Madrid published Marcelo’s medical report after the defender pulled his hamstring during the 0-1 loss against Betis last Wednesday.

After the tests carried out on our player Marcelo he has been diagnosed with a grade 2 hamstring injury.

The Brazilian defender will be out around one month with this injury and unluckily enough Theo Hernandez is also unavailable with a dislocated shoulder, meaning that Nacho will be the one in charge of the left side of Real’s defensive line against Alaves and also against Borussia Dortmund next Tuesday.

Marcelo has a somewhat worrying history of tricky injuries, so coach Zinedine Zidane and the rest of the staff will need to be careful with his recovery and not rush his return to the pitch.

Theo should be out for the next couple of games as well, so Real Madrid won’t have depth on the left side of their defensive line until either the young defender or Marcelo come back from their injuries.
