Borussia Dortmund announced their squad list for Tuesday’s —20.45 CET— match against Real Madrid.
BORUSSIA DORTMUND SQUAD LIST
Bürki, Piszczek, Sokratis, Bartra, Toprak, Sahin, Castro, Götze, Yarmolenko, Aubameyang, Philipp, Weidenfeller, Zagadou, Subotic, Toprak, Weigl, Kagawa, Dahoud, Pulišić, Isak.
Missing players: Schmelzer, Reus, Guerreiro, Schurze, Rode, Durm
Real Madrid will need to be very careful with Dortmund, as they are leading the Bundesliga even after the departure of star player Ousmane Dembele and also with Marco Reus still injured.
Furthermore, the German side will need a win after Tottenham’s 3-1 victory in the opening game of the Champions League group stage. They also have an incredible home-field advantage and Zinedine Zidane’s men must control the tempo of the game if they want to keep Dortmund at bay.
It will be interesting to see if Real Madrid have what it takes to make a statement after their disappointing start to the season. Cristiano Ronaldo will surely try to bounce back from the lack of accuracy he displayed against Betis and Alaves.
