Isco Alarcon sent a message during Spain’s 3-0 win against Italy at the Santiago Bernabeu. The Spanish midfielder scored Spain’s two opening goals and all but clinched the win for his team after completing a disappointing performance during Real Madrid’s 2-2 draw against Valencia on his last game for the club.
Keep in mind that Isco is yet to sign his contract extension with Real Madrid, although both the club and the player have been suggesting that an agreement has already been reached ever since the club conquered their 12th Champions League title.
Isco appears to be ready to start for Madrid this season or at least compete with Marco Asensio and Gareth Bale for a spot in the starting lineup. So far, it seems that both Isco and Asensio are leading that race, with Bale losing momentum by the weeks. However, it will be interesting to see if Zidane actually drops the Welsh star when the time for big games comes.
