Real Madrid defender Jesus Vallejo rejoined the group last week after recovering from the small injury which kept him out of the team for the end of the pre-season. The Spanish defender is training with the players who weren’t called by their countries and is hoping to make his debut for Real Madrid this next weekend against Levante.
Zinedine Zidane could make rotations for that game considering that Los Blancos will also play a relevant match in the Champions League against APOEL just three days after hosting Levante. Furthermore, most key starters could arrive in Madrid a bit tired after this FIFA break and it will be a good opportunity for men like Vallejo, Llorente or Theo to start and show they are good enough to give the starters a break.
Real’s coaching staff have high hopes on Vallejo, who is still very young and will need to improve his condition if he wants to defend physical strikers properly.
