Fernando Alonso speaks after being named an honorary Real Madrid member

Real Madrid named Fernando Alonso an honorary club member this morning at the Santiago Bernabeu.

This recognition is a sign of gratitude for your affection, commitment and loyalty. Your character represents our values ​​and we want to thank you for your love for Real Madrid,” said Florentino Perez while hosting Alonso.

"I’m always up to date with what is happening at Real Madrid pass. My father instilled in me the values ​​of the club and since my childhood I have enjoyed Real Madrid enormously. I am another member of this great club, and I’m very honored and proud,” said the F1 legend.

Alonso is a two-time Formula 1 world champion and one of the all-time greatest. He is a hardcore Real Madrid supporter and he will be joining other sports personalities like Rafa Nadal and Sergio Garcia as an honorary club member.
