UEFA published Real Madrid’s squad list for the 2017-2018 Champions League group stage.

Goalkeepers: Navas, Casilla, Zidane.

Defenders: Carvajal, Achraf, Ramos, Varane, Nacho, Vallejo, Marcelo, Theo, Tejero, Quezada, Hernando, Bernal.

Midfielders: Casemiro, Llorente, Kroos, Modric, Kovacic, Isco, Ceballos, Lucas Vazquez, Marco Asensio.

Attackers: Ronaldo, Benzema, Bale, Mayoral, Gomez, Franchu, Oscar.

As expected, Real Madrid registered every player on their first time and some canteranos who will be able to play if needed. Knowing how deep their midfield is, it makes sense for Madrid to use those extra slots for the academy players in the defense and the offensive line.

Real Madrid will begin their defense of the European title next week against APOEL at the Santiago Bernabeu. Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund are in the same group as Los Blancos, so it will not be an easy group stage for Zinedine Zidane’s men, who will try to conquer their third straight Champions League title.
