Norwegian sensation Martin Odegaard has signed a new deal with Real Madrid, one which will keep him with the club until 2021, according to reports from Spain. Odegaard is on loan with Heerenveen in the Dutch Eredivisie and some people within the club would like him to be with Real’s first team next season.
Odegaard represents Real Madrid’s newest strategy in the transfer market. Los Blancos are now signing young players with huge potential like Odegaard himself, Marco Asensio, Jesus Vallejo, Dani Ceballos or Theo Hernandez.
Heerenveen are giving Odegaard an important role this season and so far he is delivered. Real Madrid want the Norwegian playmaker to earn relevant minutes this season so that he can polish his game and contribute for Madrid soon enough. However, the competition in Real’s roster is fierce and Odegaard still has to improve as a player is he wants to play in the Spanish capital any time soon.
