Brilliant stuff from the Brazilian wizard.

Players’ Tribune just published a heartfelt article written by Real Madrid left-back Marcelo. You can read it here.

Remember that our own Ondra Paul wrote a feature on Marcelo, explaining his incredible story from the beaches of Botafogo to the biggest club in the world of football.

Marcelo has been an undisputed starter for Real Madrid for many years now, although it’s true that he competed hard with Coentrao while the Portuguese defender was in his prime. However, Marcelo’s unique creativity adds a great value to Real Madrid as it allows the team to have an unexpected playmaker coming from the defensive line.

He is now Real Madrid’s second captain and will most likely earn the bracelet once Sergio Ramos retires, as Marcelo is still 29 years old and has good years ahead of him. It’s nice to hear from the Brazilian defender himself on his incredible journey. Make sure you read it.
