Good news for Zinedine Zidane, as Casemiro, Keylor Navas and Raphael Varane could complete Friday’s training session with their teammates. All three of those players missed Thursday’s training and were questionable for Saturday’s match against Levante but it looks like they’ll be able to play.
However, Zidane might as well decide to be cautious and keep them out of the starting XI knowing that Madrid will also host APOEL next Wednesday. The Champions League kicks off next week and it’s time for Zidane to start managing his roster in order to keep his starters fresh enough to compete in big games.
Players like Marcos Llorente, Theo Hernandez or Dani Ceballos could start against Levante, according to reports. Those three young men will surely be anxious to prove how ready they are and it would be good if Zidane can find them consistent minutes throughout the season.
