Real Madrid attacker Karim Benzema has successfully recovered from the hamstring injury he picked up in El Clasico against Barcelona and will be available when Los Blancos visit Leganes this Thursday in the first leg of the Copa del Rey Quarterfinals.
It will be interesting to see if coach Zinedine Zidane decides to start Benzema from now on considering that both Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale are also available. Apparently, Isco could be the one player dropped to the bench but perhaps Zidane is thinking about going another direction with his starting lineup.
With Benzema back with the team, Sergio Ramos remains the only player on Real Madrid’s injury report. Los Blancos will have to beat Leganes over two legs if they want to compete for the Copa del Rey title, which has now become the shortest road to a potential title this season after falling 19 points behind Barcelona in La Liga table.
