Yet another chapter in this saga.

Cristiano Ronaldo wants to sign a new deal with Real Madrid after conquering the Ballon D’Or and FIFA’s The Best, according to a report from MARCA. The Portuguese attacker believes he deserves to be the highest paid player in the world of football and would be willing to leave the club if Madrid decide not to give him such a deal, per that same report.

A report published on AS this Monday also suggested that Ronaldo could be on his way to Manchester United next summer. However, Real Madrid would seek a record-breaking deal and it’s not clear whether the red devils would be willing to offer that much money for a player who turns 33 years old this February.

Still, Real Madrid should probably be patient as Ronaldo can’t expect to sign a new deal every single year. Furthermore, he’s showing some worrying signs of decline and his performances this season haven’t been brilliant enough to justify the deal he wants.
