Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane confirmed that the club will not make any signings during this winter window. The Frenchman had been suggesting that decision throughout the entire month but this is the first time he's actually revealed that Madrid will not upgrade the squad.

"The club and I decided together that we will not sign anyone this winter," said Zidane during Saturday's press conference.

Los Blancos are struggling a lot this season and some fans have been wanting to see quality players joining the club. However, Madrid have decided not to push the panic button and that way trust the current roster until the very end of the season.

It seems clear that Real Madrid will make at least two or three signings during the summer, as they will surely be focused on the 2018 FIFA World Cup to see who can make an impact for the club next season.

Apparently, goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga will now sign for Real Madrid as a free agent, so Los Blancos will save the €20 million they were willing to spend on his release clause.
