Real Madrid published a medical report on Dani Ceballos, who was forced to leave the match against Leganes but appeared to be fine.
Following tests carried out on Dani Ceballos by the Sanitas Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a sprained left ankle, picked up during training. His recovery will continue to be assessed.
This means that Ceballos won’t be available for the return leg which will be played this Wednesday. Even though he has not been a relevant player for Real Madrid this season, Ceballos would’ve had a good opportunity to make an impact in the upcoming Copa del Rey match. Now he will have to wait for his next opportunity, although it seems that this sprained ankle shouldn’t be serious enough to keep him out of the team for more than a few weeks.
Betis seem interested in the return of the midfielder on a loan deal but Real Madrid are not keen on seeing Ceballos go for the rest of the season, according to reports from MARCA and AS.
