Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane talked to the press ahead of the team’s match against Celta de Vigo —Sunday, 20:45 CET— and said that Los Blancos don’t need to sign a goalkeeper this winter.

“As a coach, I don’t need a goalkeeper, I don’t need one right now. If we make changes in the summer, then maybe I will need one. There will be a couple of positions where we will be able to sign some players. I won’t talk about players who don’t belong to Real Madrid,” said Zidane when asked about Kepa.

Los Blancos visit Celta without Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema, but the rest of the squad will be fresh as the key starters were able to get some rest during Thursday’s match against Numancia.

“We want to play with intensity from the get go, that’s what we have to do,” said Zidane.

The French coach also said that he doesn’t want any players to leave during this winter window.

“I always say that I don’t need signings because I’m happy with my squad, but until January 31st anything can happen. I don’t want anyone to leave because we have a long season ahead of us and I will need each and every one of my players,” concluded Zidane.
