Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard has rejected two offers to extend his contract with the London-based club because he wants to join Real Madrid next summer, according to French radio station RMC.
Hazard’s father admitted that the attacker is waiting to see if Madrid would be interested in signing his son, even though the attacker would still be under contract this summer and the deal could potentially reach €100 million given that Chelsea don’t need to sell.
While Hazard is an interesting player, it’s not clear if he would take Real Madrid to the next level or not, meaning that Madrid could take a look at other options before making a decision on the Belgian winger.
It definitely seems that Madrid will try to upgrade their squad next summer as the current roster seems to lack the depth needed to compete for all three titles. Furthermore, some of the current starters need to perform better and adding a couple of pieces would increase the competition for a spot in the XI.
