Real Madrid held a team meeting led by coach Zinedine Zidane for 50 minutes before Tuesday’s training session. The players stepped on the pitch of Valdebebas fairly late as they prepare for Wednesday’s meeting with Numancia, which will mark the return leg of their Copa del Rey tie with Los Blancos dominating 3-0 on aggregate.

Zidane, the coaching staff and the players need to find answers to their struggles as they are already 16 points behind Barcelona in the table. While the race for La Liga is all but over, it will be very important for them to at least find some groove and confidence as they still can compete for the Champions League and Copa del Rey titles if they start playing better.

For the time being, no reports on what was said during this team meeting have been published, but it’s clear that Zidane had every reason to ask his players about what’s going on.
