Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard revealed in an interview with Telefoot that he had the chance to leave the London-based club this past summer.
“Chelsea made it clear for me this summer. I was not going to be allowed to leave, and I accepted it. Either way, I was going to be happy, so I don’t regret that decision at all,” said Hazard, who also confirmed that he won’t leave Chelsea during the upcoming winter transfer window.
“Sometimes you have the last word when decisions are made and sometimes you can also get angry, but I never tried to confront the club. Chelsea gave me a lot as a club, I left Lille in good spirits and I want to do the same here,” explained Hazard suggesting that he could be leaving his current club soon.
It seems that Hazard won’t stop until he joins Real Madrid and Los Blancos could try to complete a deal for the attacker next summer knowing that Chelsea might be forced to accept that offer if they don’t want to let Hazard leave as a free agent in 2020.
