Managing Madrid Housekeeping

New, comments

As the international break slowly draws to a close (although, not quite, as tonight we’re covering Brazil, Germany, and France), we wanted to bring to your attention some news, and announce some fun things we are (and have been) working on.

  1. Om Arvind and I were on the EIF Podcast this week to discuss Real Madrid’s struggles of late, Modric’s form, how the Kovacic situation might evolve next summer, Lopetegui’s job security (while providing a real assessment of his tenure so far), and some other stuff. The link to the pod is here.
  2. Om and I have also launched a new YouTube channel. ‘School of Real Madrid’ will be a series of weekly videos where we analyze Real Madrid topics (history, match previews, post-game analysis, player profiles, etc). We have always wanted to do something like this, but have had the challenge of running into continual copyright issues using La Liga / UEFA footage. So, we’ve brought on Naguib Anam — whom I’m sure you recognize as an occasional contributor here — as a cartoonist. Our first video should be dropping sometime this week. Follow us on Twitter, like us on Facebook, and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
  3. Swag is coming. Pretty soon, you’ll be able to purchase Managing Madrid / Churros y Tácticas / School of Real Madrid apparel and mugs — all designed by Finn and Naguib. Stay tuned.
  4. Enjoy the rest of the international break! We’ll continue putting out content for you all, and appreciate your support.
