Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema rejoined the squad in training this Wednesday and seems set to be available when the team hosts Levante this Saturday in La Liga. Los Blancos will try to bounce back from their last four games, where they’ve dropped points against Sevilla, Atletico de Madrid, Alaves (La Liga) and CSKA Moscow (Champions League).

Benzema has been playing poorly during this span and it has cost the team. The French attacker will need to recover some of the scoring punch he showed during the start of the season if Los Blancos want to compete for all three titles.

Luckily enough for Madrid, a healthy Benzema could also be crucial, given how thin the squad is in the offensive line. Mariano is a nice backup but he might lack the experience to start for Los Blancos week in and week out, so right now Benzema appears to be Lopetegui’s first option.
