Real Madrid defender Marcelo wants to leave the Spanish capital and join Juventus this winter in order to reunite with former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, according to a report from Turin newspaper Tuttosport. The Brazilian defender would’ve informed Real’s board of this situation, per that same report.

Apparently, Juventus would pay around €50-60 million for this transfer and then they would send Alex Sandro on a loan deal to the Premier League.

Marcelo talked to Real Madrid TV about these transfer rumors just a few weeks back and appeared to be very committed to the club, even though the situation was different and now Los Blancos are on a downward spiral.

“I’m very happy in Madrid, people realize this is my home and I have so many years left in my contract. I’ve read some foolish things, but like I said I’m happy and I’ll stay here until the very end,” said Marcelo during the interview.

Marcelo is Real Madrid’s second captain and it doesn’t seem likely that he will ask the club to sell him during the winter transfer market, even more so considering that Los Blancos don’t have a replacement for him in the current roster.
