Real Madrid published the squad list for Tuesday’s match against Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League’s Group Stage.

REAL MADRID SQUAD:

Goalkeepers: Navas, Casilla and Courtois.

Defenders: Ramos, Varane, Nacho, Marcelo and Odriozola.

Midfielders: Kroos, Modric, Casemiro, Valverde, Asensio and Isco.

Forwards: Mariano, Benzema, Bale, Lucas Vázquez and Vinicius Jr.

Surprisingly enough, midfielder Dani Ceballos didn’t make the list even though he is supposed to be healthy and ready to play. Lopetegui has given Ceballos minutes regularly and he appears to be part of the rotation, that’s why this list is somewhat surprising.

Lopetegui’s spot as Madrid’s coach is reportedly at stake in this match. Not only Los Blancos will have to win, they’ll also have to do it in convincing fashion if Lopetegui wants to be in Madrid’s bench when Los Blancos visit FC Barcelona next Sunday. Viktoria Plzen should be weak enough for Madrid to bounce back, but so were Levante.
