The first El Clasico of the 2018-19 season is here and both Ernesto Valverde and Julen Lopetegui will have to replace some of his starters. Dani Carvajal isn’t available and Isco might need to be relegated to a role off the bench after missing the last month and lacking the conditioning needed. On the other hand, Lionel Messi broke his arm last week and won’t be cleared to play either, so it will be interesting to see what Valverde and Lopetegui decide to do with their starting lineups.

Barcelona predicted XI: Ter Stegen, Sergi Roberto, Pique, Lenglet, Jordi Alba, Busquets, Rakitic, Arthur, Rafinha, Coutinho, Suarez.

Real Madrid predicted XI: Courtois, Odriozola, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo, Casemiro, Modric, Kroos, Asensio, Bale, Benzema.

Key players off the bench could be Ceballos, Isco and Mariano for Real Madrid and Dembele for Barcelona if Valverde finally decides to start Rafinha instead of the French winger, who could take on Messi’s role.
