Real Madrid will face Celta Vigo in what will be a tough away game for them this Sunday and coach Santiago Solari spoke to the media in press conference to talk about his current three-game winning streak.
“I like how professional we’ve been these three games. We’ve got to put this same effort every single time,” said Solari. “These are three points at stake and it will be a tough game against a good opponent. We’ve got to be composed to walk away with something from there,” he added.
Then, Solari was asked about Bale’s position on the field.
“I like how he plays everywhere on the pitch, he has skills to play on both flanks, behind the striker and even as the main forward. Also as a left-back. He just has to go out there and give his very best every time he plays, just like he did against Viktoria,” explained the coach.
Isco has not started since Solari was appointed as the man in charge, but it seems that he will be an important player for the coach.
“We know how good and special he is. He’s training very hard to get back in good form, this was a tough surgery and it’s not easy to come back from that, but he’s training very hard just like everyone else. I can only play 11 of them and my job is to choose who actually plays, but they know it’s all about training hard. I don’t know how he reacted to being on the bench, but I assume he took it as a true professional,” said Solari.
Thibaut Courtois started last Wednesday, which means that he will be the starting goalkeeper for Solari. That leaves Keylor Navas in a tough spot.
“Whether I talked to him or not is a private matter. He’s a gentleman, a strong and faithful man who has the support of his teammates. They know how hard he’s working,” concluded Solari.
