Real Madrid wonder kid Vinicius Junior talked about coach Santi Solari right after Brazil’s U20 draw against Colombia U20.
“Solari always helped me from the very beginning since I arrived in Madrid. He kept me calm. That’s what he did and that’s why I’m happy,” said Vinicius.
The winger is going to have a more relevant role now that Solari has signed a two-year deal. The coach was just an interim who was expected to be in charge for just a few games until the club had their man but was ultimately named a permanent coach just this week.
Vinicius was a reserve for Lopetegui, who couldn’t find minutes for him on a consistent basis. He even played some games for Castilla. Now, it looks like at least he will be on the bench every game, and while he has room for improvement and needs to gain experience, he will get the chance he deserves sooner or later.
