Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane completed Wednesday’s training session with the squad and appears to be ready to face Eibar in what will be a tough away game for Los Blancos this next Saturday.
Varane recently recovered from a muscle injury and featured in France’s loss to Netherlands last week.
It’s extremely important for coach Santiago Solari to have Varane at his disposal, given that Nacho will be out for two months and that Vallejo can’t stay healthy. Varane is a key starter for Madrid and he will be expected to improve from the poor performances he completed when former coach Julen Lopetegui was still in charge. The French center-back was in great form during the past FIFA World Cup and might need some more time to get in good shape after that intense tournament.
Real Madrid are reportedly interested in defender Mario Hermoso, who could be the first replacement for both Varane and Ramos whenever they are not available.
