3 Things to Ponder After Real Madrid-Real Valladolid

As the dust settles and our eyes have stopped bleeding, Vinícius Júnior and Santiago Solari emerge as the heir to Zizou's black magic. The first 70 minutes were about as entertaining as watching paint dry but thanks to a own goal from Kiko and a Sergio Ramos paneka penalty we beat the mighty Real Valladolid 2-0. The game itself was mostly dull but here are 3 things to ponder after the 2-0 win.

1. Vinícius is the savior Madrid have long been searching for!

What the Brazilian provided today was pace, excitement, and hope. His speed opened up the game, it gave the Madrid attack ambition. The Bernabéu erupted as Vinícius smashed the ball against the Valladolid defenders shoulder to give Real Black Magic... I mean Madrid a late 1-0 lead.

2. Sergio Reguilón is that guy

Another bright spot came from the young left back Sergio Reguilón. Sergio not only looked confident he played confident. He was not shy or timid to attack Real Valladolid and his crosses were near perfect.

3. Courtois and the crossbar does enough to keep a cleensheet

Hardly tested in the first half, the Belgian shot-stopper was forced to make a quality low save that kept a Valladolid attack out of business. He also has to pay his respects to the crossbar. Señor Crossbar stopped two huge long shots to keep Madrid in the game. I fear that if any one of those two chances would've went in we would be singing a different song.
