Exequiel Palacios appears to be on Real Madrid’s radar. The midfielder seems keen on joining the club and even his agent admitted that Los Blancos have the edge to secure his signing.
“I’m calm, I want to enjoy what this means for us and the River Plate fans. This is all for them,” he said when asked about the rumors.
“It all happened really fast, but the truth is this is the thing I wanted to achieve ever since my career started,” added Palacios about his new title.
The midfielder completed a solid performance for River and combined beautifully in the play which allowed his team to score the opening goal. Palacios is still 20 years old but he clearly has experience at the highest level. Whether he’s ready or not to play for Madrid on a consistent basis remains to be seen, although it would make sense for Los Blancos to send him on a loan deal, especially after the irruption of young midfielder Fede Valverde.
