Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard spoke in an interview with Radio Montecarlo alongside his former Lille teammate Mavuba. The Belgian star, who is still reportedly on Real Madrid’s radar, showed once again that he wants to sign for the Spanish club.

“You [Mavuba] know me, I’ve always loved Real Madrid, even before Zidane was there. We’ll see what happens. As I said, I will finish this season with Chelsea and I have one more year left on my contract. After that, we will see,” said Hazard, whose deal with Chelsea expires in 2020.

Hazard apparently doesn’t want to sign an extension with the British club. However, he seems to be quite happy with current coach Maurizio Sarri.

“The new coach [Sarri] understands football just like I do, so we will see what happens. My family is in London and I will soon turn 28 years old. I don’t want to regret anything when my career is over. This is a decision I will take. I don’t know when, but I will do it,” added the attacker.

Reports in Spain indicate that Chelsea, Hazard and Real Madrid could reach an agreement so that the player could join Los Blancos next summer. That potential signing would involve midfielder Mateo Kovacic, who is currently on a loan deal in Chelsea.
