Real Madrid and Manchester City are engaged in talks over young attacker Brahim Diaz, who doesn’t want to sign a contract extension with the British club and could join Madrid in the upcoming winter transfer window. Manchester City would be asking for €20 million to let the promising player join Madrid this January, according to a report from MARCA.
That price seems a bit too high for a player who could be signing for Madrid as a free agent just six months after the winter window, though. If that’s really Manchester City’s asking price, Madrid should probably just wait and secure his signing as soon as the player is allowed to sign an offer sheet —January 1st 2019—, even if that meant not having the player on their roster until July 1st.
Brahim is a promising player who wants to get more minutes at this stage of his career. Madrid will offer him a six-year deal and the player has reportedly made up his mind. In seems that Madrid will sign Brahim very soon, even if he might not wear the white shirt until next summer.
