Real Madrid defender Gareth Bale did not complete Friday’s training session with the rest of the squad and might have to miss Saturday’s match against Rayo Vallecano, which will be played at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Coach Santiago Solari revealed that Bale has some kid of issue on his ankle, and while it seems that he won’t need much time to recover from it, Bale might prefer to sit this one out in order to stay fresh and ready for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

“It is not a question of rest, it’s his ankle,” said Solari. ”We will look at the evaluation and we will chat with him before making the decision,” he added.

Bale came off the bench during the match against CSKA and even though he completed the game it seems that he picked up some kind of minor injury which could force him to miss this home game.
