Real Madrid published their squad list for Saturday’s home match against Rayo Vallecano.
REAL MADRID SQUAD:
Goalkeepers: Navas, Casilla and Courtois.
Defenders: Carvajal, Vallejo, Ramos, Varane, Marcelo and Odriozola.
Midfielders: Kroos, Modric, Valverde, M. Llorente, Asensio, Isco and Ceballos.
Forwards: Benzema, Lucas Vázquez and Vinicius Jr.
Finally, coach Santiago Solari has decided to give Gareth Bale some rest. The attacker picked up some kind of small ankle injury during the match against CSKA Moscow and it makes sense to give him the chance to recover properly without rushing him back.
Kroos will be expected to make his return to the starting lineup. He played some minutes against CSKA and appears to be ready enough to perform. Even though Rayo should be a manageable team at the Bernabeu, Madrid still have to take this game very seriously considering that they are five points behind Barcelona in the table, so they can’t afford to drop games like this one.
