Kashima Antlers vs Real Madrid: Club World Cup Match Thread

It’s time for Real Madrid to begin their campaign for their third consecutive Club World Cup as they take on Kashima Antlers at the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The winners of today’s game will take on UAE’s Al Ain after their shock win over River Plate.

Japan’s Kashima Antlers won the Asian Champions League, and most of you will remember this is not the first time Real Madrid have faced them in the Club World Cup. They weren’t necessarily easy to beat the first time around in 2016, and back then we had a bit of a more prolific goal-scorer on our roster.

Either way, on paper Real Madrid should have no problems with the Antlers and it would be a nice morale boost to move on to the finals, which takes place this Saturday (EST).

My predicted scoreline: 1-2 Real Madrid. Match thread below!
