Inter Milan will try to sign Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos next summer, according to a report from Italian newspaper Il Corriere Dello Sport. Inter already had Luka Modric on their radar this past summer but the reigning Ballon D’Or ended up staying in the Spanish capital.

It’s not likely that Kroos will be tempted with an offer from Inter. Madrid might be struggling at the moment but Kroos is still in his prime and Inter is certainly not the best team where he will be able to display his skills. The German midfielder is under contract until the summer of 2022 and has been an undisputed starter for every single coach he’s had in Madrid, so Los Blancos will not let him go that easily even if that’s what he wants.

Kroos might indeed receive some offers from big clubs, but Inter will need to work very hard if they want to persuade the German midfielder.
