Real Madrid published a medical report on attacker Marco Asensio, who picked up an injury just five minutes after entering the Semifinals against Kashima Antlers.
Following tests carried out on Marco Asensio by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a grade II muscle injury in the right rectus femoris. His recovery will continue to be assessed.

Asensio is expected to miss at least three weeks with this injury. Luckily enough for Real Madrid, Gareth Bale is now healthy and he proved just that against Kashima while scoring a hat-trick. Asensio is an important player for Solari even if he is not starting on a consistent basis. This likely means that Isco or Vinicius Jr. will have more chances coming off the bench in the first games after the Christmas break.
Hamstring injuries are always tricky so Madrid will have to monitor this one very closely.
