Real Madrid are interested in the signing of Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard and the Belgian player is keen on such a move to the Spanish capital. Furthermore, Hazard’s contract with Chelsea expires in 2020 so it seems that the London-based club might need to sell the player if they don’t want to see him leaving as a free agent.
Now, Onda Cero are reporting that Madrid are considering an offer which would send Isco and Kovacic to Chelsea on a permanent deal if Los Blancos receive Hazard in exchange. Kovacic is already playing in London on loan and both Chelsea and the midfielder would like to make that deal a permanent one. Isco is also out of favor in Real Madrid since coach Santiago Solari was appointed as Lopetegui’s replacement, so this would also solve his situation.
Although this potential offer could satisfy all parts involved, it’s extremely hard to complete such a transfer involving three different players on a swap with no money involved. Real Madrid would also be overpaying for Hazard if this deal comes to fruition, given that he will have only one year left on his deal next summer and that both Kovacic and Isco are high-quality players still on their prime.
In reality, it seems that this transfer is quite unlikely and that both Chelsea and Madrid will need to work very hard if they want to reach an agreement for Hazard, Isco and Kovacic.
