Most Real Madrid fans saw Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure to Juventus as a good opportunity for Marco Asensio to show his talent and potential on a consistent basis. However, it’s clear that the Spanish attacker has been disappointing this season and is not even considered a key starter under Santiago Solari.
European clubs like Liverpool, PSG or Inter Milan have been reportedly interested in the signing of Asensio. However, Asensio’s agent Horacio Gaggioli told FCInternews.it that the Spanish attacker wants to stay in Madrid.
“It’s an honor that a club like Inter Milan is interested in Marco. I don’t know if that report is accurate, but for the moment the player has no intention of leaving Real Madrid,” said Gaggioli.
Asensio is still considered the future of Real Madrid and the club will likely trust him going forward. Sooner or later, he will be expected to return to the starting lineup and lead this team offensively, so the rumors just don’t make sense at the moment.
