Real Madrid published their squad list for Thursday’s match against Melilla in the Copa del Rey. Los Blancos hold a 4-0 lead on aggregate so this match should be a good opportunity for youngsters and reserves to make an impact and prove their worth.
REAL MADRID’S SQUAD LIST:
Goalkeepers: Navas, Casilla and Luca.
Defenders: Carvajal, Vallejo, Varane, Odriozola, Reguilón, Javi Sánchez and Fran García.
Midfielders: Valverde, Llorente, Asensio, Isco, Ceballos and Fidalgo.
Attackers: Lucas Vázquez, Mariano, Vinicius Jr. and Cristo.
Key starters like Modric, Kroos, Ramos, Benzema, Bale, Marcelo or Courtois won’t be involved in this game as they get some valuable rest. This is pretty much a meaningless game for Real Madrid, but it will be interesting to see if Isco lays with a chip on his shoulder or if Jesus Vallejo makes his season debut after being injured the first months of this 2018-19 campaign. All in all, a perfect chance for Madrid to keep gaining some momentum while giving the starters some rest.
