Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos revealed on Twitter why he missed the team’s match against Valencia last Saturday.
Quick update: Still working on my knee problems after the Roma match...
— Toni Kroos (@ToniKroos) December 6, 2018
Back asap as always.
It appears that Kroos is not completely healthy and might need to miss a few more games. Luckily enough, coach Santiago Solari has a deep squad in the midfield with Ceballos completing good performances recently and Isco also being a potential replacement for Kroos in the midfield.
Furthermore, Real Madrid have a manageable schedule ahead of the upcoming Christmas break, so they can be patient with Kroos.
Real Madrid have not published a medical report about Toni Kroos, so these “knee problems” are not a big issue going forward and it appears that the midfielder is just feeling some kind of discomfort after that crucial away match in Roma. Still, it’s good to see Los Blancos taking this very seriously instead of rushing a player who might just not be desperately needed at the moment.
