Francisco Feuillassier, better known as Franchu, has torn his ACL and will be out for the remainder of the season. This is a huge blow to Jose Manuel Diaz and the Castilla squad as Franchu was one of the first names on the team sheet and had contributed 3 goals in 13 appearances for the high flying reserve side. Castilla are currently placed in 4th, only 3 points off the top of the table. With Vinicius JR featuring more prominently in the first team squads, and now the sudden loss of their pacey bull-like Argentine winger, depth has taken a hit at the reserve level.
Franchu released a message on social media following reports from Marca about the injury, “Today, I can confirm that I have torn the cruciate ligament in my right knee. Many hard months lay ahead, but I am very clear in my head—I will come back stronger than ever. Thank you for all of your support. This is just a part of my path! #onedaymoreonedayless”
Castilla’s next match is against is Saturday the 8th, against S.S. Reyes who are 3rd in the table tied on points with Castilla.
