Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane said after the 5-2 win against Real Sociedad that he has already decided his starting lineup for Wednesday’s match, when Paris Saint-Germain will visit the Santiago Bernabeu in the opening leg of the Champions League Round of 16.

“I’m in no doubt about who’s going to play against PSG and all will be revealed on Wednesday. That said, the idea always remains the same: it doesn’t depend on who plays, but rather on what we go out there to do,” said Zidane.

“We need to remain focused on the Champions League game this Wednesday. We know there is a great challenge waiting for us, it is of utmost importance for us. It will be a different game in a different competition and we will have extra motivation. We will be geared up for it,” added the coach.

He also had something to say about the fans who whistled Benzema after the striker missed a big chance in the dying moments of the game.

“I don’t know why there’s a section of our supporters that jeer Benzema. The fans that come to the games can do as they wish. I just want to say that Benzema had some chances and didn’t score, but the important thing is to focus on our next game and believe that in any given match the ball will run for him and his fortunes will change. People are entitled to do what they want,” explained Zidane.
