Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane spoke to RTL and said that he would like to keep coaching the team past this season, contrary to reports suggesting that he was going to voluntarily leave the club next summer.
“I’m fine in Madrid and I will do everything I can to stay here. I look at our game against PSG without thinking about what’s going to happen next year. I don’t pay attention to the future, only to the present. I realize that I won’t be coaching here for the rest of my life, we will move on when it’s time,” said Zidane.
Real Madrid play a crucial match against Paris Saint-Germain next Wednesday. Los Blancos need to survive in the Champions League as this will be the only title they can win this season.
“This is part of the job, our form right now isn’t acceptable for the club. What will make things change? Just winning games, nothing else. We can do some good things but at the end of the day it all comes down to the final score. You win or you’ll be criticized if you don’t, that’s the way it is,” added Zidane.
