Spanish radio journalist Miguel Angel Diaz, from Cadena COPE, reported Real Madrid’s lineup for Wednesday’s match against PSG.
Parece que el Madrid va a jugar esta noche con Keylor; Nacho, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo; Casemiro, Kroos, Modric, Isco; Benzema y Cristiano.
— Miguel Ángel Díaz (@miguelitocope) February 14, 2018
According to that report, Bale would start the game sitting on the bench in favor of Isco, who would earn a spot in the starting lineup even though most reports suggested that the BBC was going to play.
Diaz is usually right with these reports on matchday, meaning that it definitely looks like Bale will come off the bench.
If true, coach Zinedine Zidane is probably trying to dominate the tempo of the game and the possession even more while then trying to take advantage of Bale’s quickness off the bench against a tired PSG defensive line. It makes sense, although the Isco-Ronaldo-Benzema attacking trio hasn’t performed very well this season.
All things considered, this is only a report and not the official lineup. Both clubs will make their starting XIs official around 19:30 CET.
